Senior Web Designer - Project-Based

We're Looking for a Senior Web Designer to Lead High-Impact Projects

Missing Piece Studio is a founder-led web design and development agency specializing in SaaS and B2B service companies. We create strategic, conversion-focused websites for ambitious clients who need more than just aesthetic execution — and we're looking for an experienced Web Designer to lead projects from concept to completion.

This is a project-based role for a seasoned designer who values quality over quantity, understands buyer psychology, and can translate complex business offerings into clear, compelling digital experiences.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Web Designer working with Missing Piece Studio on a project basis, you'll take full ownership of web design projects from strategy to final mockups.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead the Design: Own the end-to-end design process for client projects, from translating strategic briefs into wireframes to delivering high-fidelity mockups ready for development
• Strategic Execution: Design websites that balance brand aesthetics with conversion optimization — every layout, typography choice, and interaction pattern serves a business objective
• Client Collaboration: Present design concepts confidently, articulate design decisions in business terms, and incorporate feedback with professionalism and speed
• Quality Standards: Deliver pixel-perfect, developer-ready Figma files using best practices (auto-layout, component systems, clean naming conventions)

You'll be working on 2-4 projects at a time, collaborating closely with our internal team and directly with clients throughout the process.

What We Need

• 3+ years of professional web design experience (agency or senior in-house roles)
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including auto-layout, design systems, prototyping, and developer handoff best practices
• Portfolio showcasing high-quality, conversion-focused web design
• Ability to lead projects independently: You don't need hand-holding; you can take a strategic brief and run with it
• Excellent communication skills: You can present design concepts, defend decisions with rationale, and incorporate feedback professionally
• Detail-oriented execution: Your work is polished, consistent, and ready for development without extensive revisions
• Comfortable working on a project basis with flexible timelines (not a full-time role)

Strongly Preferred:

• Experience designing for SaaS platforms or B2B service companies (this is our niche, and domain expertise is a major differentiator)
• Experience working in structured, process-driven environments (we follow a defined 6-phase methodology)
